Surviving
Your
Serengeti:
7
Skills
to
Master
Business
and
Life
by
Stefan
Swanepoel.
As a
brutal
business
environment
meets
a
soft
economy,
business
leaders
and
managers
are
looking
for
sources
of
both
inspiration
and
survival.
This
compelling
new
fable
offers
a
riveting
tale
of
life
in
Africa's
Serengeti
and
what
lessons
it
holds
for
today's
beleaguered
business
people
and
struggling
society.
The
1.5
million
wildebeest
rely
on
stubborn
endurance
and
support
from
the
herd
to
survive;
the
crocodile
is
opportunistic;
the
cheetah
ruthlessly
effective;
the
giraffe
embodies
grace,
the
lion
a
master
strategist,
the
mongoose
is a
risk-taker,
the
elephant
is
an
excellent
communicator.
Lunch
is
included.
Members
$20,
Nonmembers
$30.
We
will
videoconference
between
Dr.
Talley's
office
at
8863
W.
Flamingo
Rd.
suite
102,
Las
Vegas
and
Lori Benvin's
office
at

Thanks
to
Anthony
Ferreri,
Director
of
Member
Services,
NV
Dental
Association,
who
did
a
great
job
putting
us
through
the
paces
of
setting
up a
Facebook
group.
We
had
a
great
turnout
and
individual
help
in
getting
all
the
components
together.
He
also
provided
very
useful
handouts
as
takeaways
for
follow
up
work
back
at
the
office.

Check our Member

thanks to NSAE

Selleck Davis

hard work in
mentoring the

Vegas and Reno.

Meetings
for 2012
March 22
We are
scheduling a
political
speaker or a
review of
"Surviving
Your
Serengeti"
May 24
will be a
discussion
of the value
of
Association
Audits and
how you can
effectively
evaluate
your
associations
activities
and inform
your Board.
We need
volunteers
for speaking
in future
months.
Now you have
the dates,
put NSAE on
your
calendar.
NSAE is
looking for more
members in
the active and
allied
categories and
remember we have
revised our
dues. Click on
our dues link
for an online
form you can
fill out and
mail in with a
check. We do not
take credit
cards yet, but
hope to in the
future when we
have more
members to
serve.
Go to our
Dues link to see
the new categories
of members and their
respective dues
amounts. We have
several seminars for
2012, added credit
card capability and
will soon offer Biz
Library and extend
our credit card
program to you as a
member benefit which
you can then pass on
to your members as a
nondues income
source.
We have added
reduced rates for
additional members
from the same
organization, a
student rate and
others. Joining
will give you
benefits at member
rates and all the
news affecting
associations.
Several members have
added staff as NSAE
members as our
seminars are
targeting various
areas of expertise.
Great for one or two
person associations
or for larger
associations who
want to send one of
their specialists.
We are also
looking for
ideas on
seminars and
webinars that
you or your
staff would
attend. Email
your ideas to
Maury at
maury@cox.net
for a great
education
program in
2010.
