Cherie Williams began a
career in the real estate
industry over thirty years
ago, when she worked for a
Reno area builder. After ten
years in the building and
real estate industry, she
entered into the arena of
association management by
taking a position with the
Reno/Sparks Association of
REALTORS®. The position
offered her many
opportunities and in the
early 90’s she accepted a
position in management at
the Association as Director
of Professional Services
where she grew and developed
the Association’s education
and professional development
programs until she took an
early retirement in 2002.
After a brief sabbatical
living a long-time dream of
cruising on she and her
husband’s sailboat, Cherie
returned to the Reno/Sparks
Association of REALTORS® in
2003 as the Executive
Officer. In 2005 she earned
the REALTOR® Certified
Executive designation.
Cherie manages a staff of
eight and oversees the
programs, products and
services provided to over
2200 REALTOR® members in the
Reno, Sparks and Fernley
areas of northern Nevada.
Cherie has been a member of
NSAE since 2005 and
currently serves as
Treasurer of the chapter.
She has set of a goal of
obtaining her CAE
designation in 2009. She
sees great value in ASAE and
NSAE by networking with
other association executives
and learning from their
years of experience.
Cherie has earned several
designations and
appointments over the years,
including:
2003: REALTORS® E-Pro
designation
2005: REALTORS® Certified
